The Kindness Movement — Matthew 25:40™
Welcome
In every city in America, people of every faith, and those of no professed faith, are feeding the hungry, sheltering the stranger, and lifting the fallen. They call it by different names, but they are all doing the same thing — lighting the way for us to create a society that becomes the light itself.
We can do this together in kindness — join these lights in creating the world we want.
WE CARE DAY™ — Monthly on the 25th
Join Us October 25th for a special
National Day of Prayer for Discernment
of good and evil
On the 25th — our day — we pause together.
Every faith. Every heart. One intention.
That we may see clearly and act with kindness.
Here is your wake up call to join us (Click here for a belly laugh)
Hate harms your health. Kindness improves your health.
Turns out the soul knew this before the lab did. When you choose kindness, your brain releases a real chemical reward — the kind that builds happiness, drops blood pressure, and keeps pulling you back to choose kindness again. When you choose hate, spite, or unforgiveness, the opposite happens. A flood of stress chemistry that wears down your heart, ages your cells faster, and literally narrows your thinking.
Not a metaphor. Not a feeling. The research is settled. And faith traditions across the world figured this out thousands of years before any scientist did.

Here is your discernment tool. It requires no commentary.
These are not two sides of a debate. They are two paths. One leads toward the Shepherd. The other leads away.
Proverbs 6:12-19 gives us the fruit to watch for: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. These things, scripture says, are an abomination to the Lord.
You do not need Aroostermon to tell you what is good and what is evil. You already know. The question is whether we will name it — together, without apology — and let our light shine as Matthew 5:14 instructs.
That is what WE CARE DAY October 25th is about. Not a protest. A declaration.
I am Aroostermon.
Every tradition. Every city. The same light illuminating the darkness
with compassion and assistance.
We believe in Matthew 25:40. And so does every major religion.
Kindness is universal. Join us.— The Kindness Movement
Every state has lights shining. Organizations of every faith — and those of no professed faith — doing the work of Matthew 25:40 and its equivalents in every tradition.
One world. One people.
"Every religion has its version of Matthew 25:40 — 'What you do for the least of humanity, you do for me.' The Quran calls it sadaqah. The Torah calls it tzedakah. The Sikhs call it seva. Hindus call it dharma. What all of them share is this — kindness toward the least of these is not a suggestion. It is the point. This is one world. One people. United by our shared humanity and our desire to see more lights shining, each in their own way, toward a future of acceptance and hospitality."

The 25th of every month
WE CARE DAY™
Today, look for an act of purposeful kindness to do. It's fun. It will feel good to both of you. Remember? Kindness begets kindness and we want to grow that feeling because helping does feel good. Remember?
See a need, feel the joy from filling that need.
We recognize evil as evil — and we counter evil by doing good, which uplifts us all instead of dragging us down in conflict. Our flocks are many faces of good will at TKM, but we all share a common thread — we care. And that care now has a way to be recognized and manifested by example. Actions illuminate truth over words, and now it's time to let our light shine, attracting birds of a feather you'd fit right in with. Won't you join us?

California — Santa Ana
Micah's Way
A small red house on 4th Street with a big mission — meals, mail, motel vouchers, and dignity for Orange County's homeless. When the city tried to stop them from handing out food, the Justice Department stepped in on their side, citing the group's ministry rooted in Matthew 25. A little guy that made a federal case out of doing good.

Manna House
A house of hospitality in the Catholic Worker tradition — showers, coffee, clothing, and a name for every guest who walks through the door. All-volunteer, funded by nothing but donations, open a few mornings a week since 2009. Small and steady beats big and loud.
